What do we learn during a ski course?

Each course has technical progression and well defined objectives based on the specific level of all participants at the start of the course.

During the course (within an inclusive learning environment) we learn and improve the fundamental skills required to develop and improve our skills to ski safely and confidently on the desired slopes.

Participants will receive continual individual feedback and personalised drills and exercises throughout the course to help improve performance.

The key elements of the course will be safety, enjoyment/ fun and learning.
Do total beginners (ADULTS +13yo) need to purchase a 6 day Lift Pass?

Normally an adult beginner would not need a lift pass on the first day of skiing as we make use of the free lifts available at the base of the slopes.

On day two of lessons we normally use the paying ski lifts as we adapt to the progression of students on slightly steeper gradients.

From day two of lessons participants would require a full lift pass.

Our advice would be to purchase the six day lift pass as part of a package with lessons at the start of the week. You will benefit from a significant reduction on the price of the lift pass. (Equivalent to the cost of a 4 day adult lift pass if purchased directly from the ticket office, with the benefit of skiing 6 days)

Also with a 6 day lift pass you can benefit from using all lifts from day one, for example if you progress well or you would like to visit the glacier or restaurants and bars further up the mountain.
What ski lifts does the lift pass cover when purchased as part of a package with lessons?

Lift passes are valid to use on all ski lifts and installations at all times both before, during and after courses.

The lift pass can also be used on all lifts even without ski equipment, for example to visit the glacier, ice caves , Pano bar, Venosc village as examples.
Does the price of the lift pass & lessons include accident or liability insurance?

The cost of lift pass and lessons DOES NOT include accident or liability insurance.

We highly recommend the purchase of accident / liability insurance that will cover first aid , medical expenses, mountain recovery etc.

Insurance can be added as an extra to the purchase of a six day lift pass at the main ticket office , however this must be done before the lift pass has been used for the first time.

The price is around € 3.50 per person per day.
Does insurance cover for loss of lessons and lift pass in the case of injury or illness?

Lift pass insurance purchased locally in Les Deux Alpes DOES NOT COVER in the event of loss of lessons and lift pass due to injury or illness.

Before the start of lessons make sure your personal holiday insurance covers you for loss of lessons and lift pass in the event of injury or illness.

The ski school can provide proof of loss of lessons and lost time on lift pass with a covering letter to be presented to your insurance company with an accompanying doctors certificate.
